Full Time / Direct-Hire
Salary: $95K - $120K base
Summary:
If you thrive in a startup environment where innovation moves fast and you love building technology that makes complex processes simple — you’ll feel right at home in this role. This isn’t a “just follow the tickets” type of role — you’ll have real ownership, real creativity, and a real voice in shaping our platform.
Looking for a Full Stack Developer with deep experience in Angular and Java Spring Boot, who is passionate about building cloud-based, scalable SaaS products. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to craft responsive, high-performance applications that drive impact across the insurance and benefits industry.
Our client is a SaaS company that is a fast-moving, high-growth startup on a mission to reinvent how brokers, carriers, and consultants manage Stop-Loss and Pharmacy Benefits. Their stack is modern, their vibe is energetic, and you'll work with some of the smartest, scrappiest, and most collaborative folks you’ll ever meet.
Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and deploy fast, and scalable web apps using Angular 15+ and Java Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with a tight-knit, Agile team to deliver new features in rapid iterations.
- Work closely with Product and UX to turn ideas into reality that users love.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code (yes, we do code reviews).
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across the full stack.
- Push boundaries, break assumptions, and make a real impact on every single sprint.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in full stack software engineering.
- 4+ years with Angular (v15 or above) and Java/Spring Boot.
- 4+ with SQL-type databases such as PostgreSQL/RDS (querying, table design, optimization, etc.).
- 2+ years with Node.js and Docker.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, JSON.
- Command of RESTful APIs, development and integration.
- Command of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM).
- Proficient with Jira and modern version control (Git/GitLab).
- Familiar with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and UI/UX fundamentals.
- Thrive in a startup environment — agile, resourceful, and ready to build.
- Excellent communicator and team player with a “let’s solve it” attitude.
"Nice to have" skills:
- Experience with AWS cloud-based platforms (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.).
- Hands-on experience working at a SaaS company.
- Experience with PrimeNG and PrimeBlocks component libraries.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch.
- Exposure to the insurance or benefits industry (bonus points!).
- Working knowledge of RxJS.
- Certifications or courses in Angular or Cloud technologies.
Last but not least:
- You’ll ship a real product that impacts real users — not just maintenance work.
- You’ll be part of a collaborative, ambitious team that celebrates wins (and laughs through the sprints).
- You’ll work on a modern tech stack with cutting-edge AWS infrastructure.
- You’ll have autonomy, mentorship, and room to grow fast as we scale.
