AI & IT Intern

L7 Construction, Inc., founded by Brett Lefever in 2007, specializes in water and wastewater construction. With a focus on serving cities and municipalities throughout Central Florida, our team is committed to delivering high quality projects that range from improving existing water systems to building new water and wastewater treatment plants. Our mission is to exceed expectations by delivering superior results in every project. We are seeking a motivated AI & IT Intern to support both our technical operations and emerging AI initiatives. This role is a mix of hands on IT support and innovative AI work, ideal for someone interested in both infrastructure and new technologies.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with setup and configuration of hardware in the office and on job sites (computers, printers, phones, and networking equipment)
• Help establish and troubleshoot internet connectivity at job sites
• Provide basic IT support, including resolving software issues and responding to internal helpdesk tickets (e.g., Microsoft-related issues)
• Coordinate with external IT vendors to resolve technical problems
• Support maintenance and organization of IT systems and equipment both in the office and on jobsites
• Assist in developing AI prompts and simple AI agents/tools
• Help implement AI solutions to review project plans and scopes for efficiency and insights

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and software troubleshooting
• Interest in artificial intelligence and automation tools
• Strong problem solving skills and willingness to learn
• Critical Thinker
• Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non technical team members
