Role Description

Rothenbühler Cheesemakers is looking to bring a Productivity Technology Director to the growing organization. This is a highly visible, hands-on role focused on transforming how the business operates by leveraging technology to drive efficiency, accuracy, and real-time decision-making. Partnering closely with leadership, this individual will take ownership of the company’s systems ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on optimizing and expanding the capabilities of NetSuite, to eliminate manual processes, enhance financial and operational visibility, and streamline workflows across the organization.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and technology, requiring someone who can think strategically while executing at a detailed level. You will play a critical role in building a more automated, data-driven environment, enabling the business to move faster, make better decisions, and continue improving margins. Duties

Financial Systems & Automation

Own and optimize NetSuite to drive automation across all financial and administrativeprocesses.

Eliminate manual workflows across AP, AR, billing, and financial reporting.

Design and implement scalable system solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Process Improvement & Transformation

Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to streamline financial and operationalprocesses.

Reduce month-end close timelines and improve reporting speed and accuracy.

Drive continuous improvement across finance, inventory, and data workflows.

Data, Reporting & Analytics

Build and maintain real-time dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools.

Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights for leadership.

Develop predictive analytics capabilities to proactively identify risks and opportunities.

Cost Accounting & Operational Finance

Implement automated cost accounting models (e.g., cost per pound across inputs/outputs).

Analyze inventory, manufacturing costs, and margin drivers.

Partner with operations to improve financial visibility into production performance.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including building reports, improving workflows, and driving system optimization.

Proven ability to automate and streamline financial processes (AP/AR, billing, reporting) and reduce manual work.

Strong foundation in accounting and finance, with the ability to analyze financials, identify variances, and connect operational activity to results.

Experience working in a manufacturing or commodity-based environment with exposure to inventory and cost drivers.

Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights, including building dashboards or reporting tools for real-time decision-making.

Background solving business problems through systems and process improvements; consulting experience is a plus.

Track record of operating in a lean environment where you take ownership, move quickly, and do not rely on direction.

Comfortable working across finance and operations, with a systems mindset andwillingness to get into the details.
