Position Type:
- Contract
- Fully remote (May require some occasional travel for onsite meetings)
- Shift: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Required:
- EPIC Certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6-10+ years of experience supporting healthcare applications or clinical systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user‑friendly language.
- Customer‑focused, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to obtain application‑specific certification/proficiency.
- HIM Release of Information (ROI) - knowledge required.
- HIM Identity (EMPI) -knowledge required.
- HIM Deficiency Tracking (DT) - knowledge required.
- HIM Coding - knowledge required.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, Business, or a related field (Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Experience working in a hospital, health system, or medical practice.
- Experience supporting Epic HIM modules.
- Experience supporting OnBase workflows.
- Epic Gallery project experience is a strong plus, including implementation, optimization, or upgrade initiatives - Epic cert required.
- Application Lead - HIM, Balance hands‑on application support with day‑to‑day team leadership, including:
- Acting as a subject matter expert for HIM applications and workflows.
- Supporting continuity of operations during the 6‑month back‑fill period.
- Coordinating and prioritizing team work to meet service levels and deadlines.
- Providing guidance, mentoring, and technical oversight to application analysts.
- Serving as an escalation point for complex issues involving integrated systems.
- Partnering with HIM, clinical, and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and identify effective solutions.
- Performing fit/gap analysis and documenting current and future‑state workflows.
- Designing, testing, validating, and implementing system enhancements.
- Leading or supporting small‑ to medium‑scale initiatives and enhancements.
- Collaborating on integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Reviewing, triaging, and assigning incidents and change requests to ensure balanced workloads.
- Participating in a second‑level, 24x7 on‑call rotation.
