Investment Associate

Our Client, leading lending firm with a strong presence in the European market, specializing in leveraged finance solutions for mid-market and large-cap clients. Their focus is on providing innovative financing solutions to support private equity-backed transactions, acquisitions, and growth capital needs.

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst with 2-3 years of experience in leveraged finance or investment banking to join their team in Stockholm. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and a passion for evaluating complex financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cash flow modeling, credit assessments, and sensitivity analysis, to evaluate potential lending opportunities.
• Support the structuring and execution of leveraged finance transactions, including acquisition financing, refinancings, and recapitalizations.
• Perform market and industry research to support deal origination and identify emerging opportunities.
• Participate in due diligence processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to assess risks and opportunities.
• Prepare investment memos, credit papers, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including credit committees.
• Assist in monitoring and managing the performance of existing portfolio investments, providing ongoing analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and credit analysis. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Fluency in Swedish is required.
