Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Department: Production - Lakeshore
Location: Norton Shores, MI
Type: Full Time
Summary:
Assists in controlling all shipping and receiving activities to ensure products are inbounded, shipped, moved and stored accurately within the ERP system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs outbound functions in database and confirms invoice accuracy by following procedures
- Work closely with customer service departments. Liaison on any inquiries, having the ability to answer calls or emails.
- Track and handle orders in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively to the inventory team regarding inventory inquiries that may result in lot verifications, damages as well as missing products that may hinder shipments
- Ensure timely delivery of products by following up with carriers based on given transit times to the customer’s final destinations
- Review documents to ensure accuracy and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate team in a timely manner and generate labels per customer requirements.
- Cycle Counts material in various warehouses and locations for accuracy, posts totals to inventory records, and resolves discrepancies
- Assist in preparation of warehouse for the year-end physical inventory
- Performs inbound receiving functions in database and confirms receipt accuracy by following procedures for marking and tagging pallets before inbound stock is put away and processes are carried out.
- Work closely with purchasing department. Liaison on any inquires, having the ability to answer calls, track/handle orders in a timely manner.
- Assists in the management of the Quarantine area inventory by working with Product Managers and QA departments
- Perform upkeep on Receiving, RMA’s and RTV’s files that are consistent with company guidelines in correlation to audit verifications.
- Process customer and vendor returns including working with QA, Customer Service, and Product Management departments.
- Scheduling carriers to pick up or deliver
- Upkeep of warehouse appointment calendar
- Other duties as deemed necessary
Required Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least two years related experience required
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attentions to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Familiarity or general aptitude for ERP systems is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
- Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand for an extended periods of time
- Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask
- Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator
- Ability to work above shoulders
- Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement
- Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
- Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
