Company Overview

GroundWork Renewables is the solar industry’s trusted full-stack performance partner. A

Certified B Corporation and ISO-accredited testing provider, we deliver precise MET data and

PV module insights—helping developers, EPCs, and asset owners reduce risk, improve

forecasting, and maximize value throughout the project lifecycle. Our services have enabled

1,000+ solar measurement campaigns, helping project developers secure billions in financing

by reducing uncertainty with trusted resource data. GroundWork is expanding its U.S.

operations, and we are looking for a Project Manager to power this next phase of growth.

Position Summary

We seek an experienced, client-savvy Project Manager to own the full delivery lifecycle of

meteorological monitoring systems for solar plants under construction. The PM serves as an

inter-departmental coordinator and primary client-facing contact working with leading EPCs

nationwide. The ideal candidate thrives in complex environments, translates technical details

into clear guidance, and navigates difficult conversations with professionalism and confidence.

Key Responsibilities - Project Coordination & Delivery

  • Own the full project lifecycle from contract signature through commissioning, ensuring all internal departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Services, Finance) align on scope, schedule, and deliverables
  • Review and interpret contracts, construction drawings, and system design documentation; distill and communicate relevant details accurately and on time
  • Develop understanding of technical systems and installation details; communicate clearly to internal departments and clients (e.g., plant owners, EPCs)
  • Proactively provide accurate, timely information to internal departments, anticipating needs without being asked
  • Balance internal delivery constraints with external timeline demands
  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation
  • Proactively surface risks and blockers before they become issues

Client Communication & Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client's site team from project kickoff through post-installation closeout
  • Educate clients on scope delineation, clearly defining what GroundWork is responsible for versus what the site team must prepare or provide
  • Proactively communicate site readiness requirements; verify and document before Field Service arrival
  • Resolve client issues directly and diplomatically; facilitate change order versus warranty decisions
  • Produce clear, professional, and timely written communications including status updates, issue summaries, scope clarifications, and change order documentation

Process & Business Contribution

  • Identify and engage in continuous improvement opportunities, making us better

How You'll Work

  • Proactively: Anticipate needs, surface risks early, provide complete information without being asked
  • Collaboratively: Support fellow PMs; work across internal functions and with client site teams, creating alignment and balancing competing priorities
  • Diplomatically: Navigate difficult conversations, resolve disputes, hold internal and external stakeholders accountable while protecting relationships
  • Technically: Learn complex systems, review construction drawings for scope compliance, escalate deficiencies

Qualifications & Experience (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant project management experience in technical product or systems delivery with a demonstrated ability to manage both internal teams and external clients simultaneously in a client-facing role
  • Demonstrated experience managing difficult client communications with positive outcomes, including scope disputes, change order negotiations, issue resolution, and delivering unwelcome news
  • Demonstrated ability to provide accurate, timely information to internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and contracts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills when under time pressure
  • Proficiency with project management, financial management, and CRM software (e.g., Airtable, NetSuite, HubSpot)

Preferred

  • Experience in solar, renewable energy, or utility-scale construction environments
  • Familiarity with meteorological instrumentation, SCADA systems, or power monitoring systems

Approach to work

  • Aligns with our values: Trustworthy, Caring, Knowledgeable, Trailblazing, Nimble and Meticulous.
  • Works collaboratively and directly with remote multi-functional teams and clients.
  • Presents a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude while working in a multi-project work environment.
  • Self-motivated, punctual, organized, and able to perform work with limited supervision.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

Meticulous. If you bring the desire and skills to thrive in this demanding, rewarding role, please apply
