ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a data-driven, metrics-obsessed Lead PM to own key pillars of the Times Prime organic growth funnel. You will work closely with the Business Head to drive subscriber acquisition, improve retention, and deepen engagement — all through scalable, product-led mechanisms with no reliance on paid marketing. You will manage a cross-functional pod of designers and data analysts, run a rigorous experimentation cadence, and translate customer signals into high-impact product decisions.You will lead the ideation, launch, and scaling of new subscription offerings and category extensions for Times Prime across the health and travel verticals
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Organic Acquisition
⦁ Design and optimize growth loops that leverage TIL's ecosystem of 450M+ monthly users as a distribution engine
⦁ Own SEO-driven discovery, in-app cross-sell placements, and referral mechanics that drive organic subscriber growth
⦁ Identify and reduce funnel drop-offs through cohort analysis and rapid experimentation
Conversion & Onboarding
⦁ Optimize the trial-to-paid conversion journey — from first touch to activation moment
⦁ Design onboarding flows that accelerate time-to-value for new subscribers
⦁ Run pricing and plan-mix experiments to improve revenue per subscriber
Retention & Engagement
⦁ Build predictive models (with the Data team) to identify churn-risk cohorts early
⦁ Design and test interventions across the subscriber lifecycle — from habit loops to win-back campaigns
⦁ Own the cancellation journey end-to-end: pause flows, downgrade options, reactivation triggers ⦁ Drive feature adoption and content consumption depth as proxies for renewal intent
Referrals & Virality
⦁ Conceptualise and launch member-get-member mechanics and referral programmes
⦁ Measure and iterate on virality coefficients (k-factor) and referral loop efficiency
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Manage a pod of Product data analysts & others; set direction, unblock, and raise the bar
- Partner with Engineering for rapid experimentation; own the velocity-quality tradeoff
- Synthesize qualitative signals (user research, support tickets, NPS) with quantitative data to diagnose problems and validate solutions
Experience
- 7–12 years of product management experience in a fast-paced consumer internet or subscription business
- Demonstrable track record of moving retention, conversion, or engagement metrics — can cite specific numbers
- Proficiency in SQL for self-serve cohort analysis and funnel diagnostics — hands-on, not just awareness
- Strong experimentation mindset: has designed, run, and interpreted A/B tests tied to core business metrics
- Experience managing or mentoring designers and data analysts
- Comfortable synthesizing qualitative and quantitative signals; can lead user research and NPS analysis
- Bachelor's/Master's degree from a premier institution preferred; strong compensating portfolio accepted
- Prior experience in subscription, OTT, or consumer membership products is a strong plus
