Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)
- Work with Corporate Alliances, Account Managers to support corporate partnership workflow, encompassing pipeline reporting, invoicing, rights and benefits tracking, grant writing, and general administrative support.
- Assist with reconciliation between Salesforce and Finance systems, representing Corporate Alliances in accrual and receivables processes, and managing full-cycle contract review and all lifecycle management in collaboration with Finance, and Legal.
- This position also works with Sr. Grants & Stewardship Manager on the creation of key resources, such as sponsorship materials, development plans, case studies, one pagers, event materials, branded assets, promotional items and pitch decks supporting.
- Participate in corporate partner strategy meetings and calls. Responsible for taking notes and working with Account Managers to execute upon deliverables and partner activations.
- Participate in planning, logistics and execution of partner events, including care package events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years work experience in a corporate fundraising/development support role or relevant experience in a military, multicultural /or global organization preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism. Ability to manage and influence external vendor relationships.
- Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. General knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Constituent Relationship Management systems. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
- Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform basic business/accounting functions including project management and budget reconciliation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.
- Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission.
- This position is located in Arlington, VA. Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to the location.
