For a globally expanding pharmaceutical company headquartered in Asia, currently strengthening its European presence, we are looking for a senior VP of Business Development (Europe) to be based in Switzerland.
This is a high‑impact leadership role with full ownership of European business development and out‑licensing activities, working closely with global R&D, clinical, regulatory, and executive teams.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead European business development and out‑licensing initiatives across biologics and therapeutic programs.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage strategic pharmaceutical and biotech partners across Europe and globally.
- Drive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and asset positioning to maximize value creation.
- Structure and negotiate licensing agreements, including valuation, milestones, royalties, and overall financial frameworks.
- Develop and present investment‑grade business cases and partnership proposals to senior leadership.
- Lead term sheet development, due diligence, and cross‑functional deal execution.
- Manage post‑deal partner relationships, ensuring performance tracking and contractual compliance.
- Act as a key interface between BD, R&D, clinical, regulatory, and executive leadership to optimize asset value.
Your Profile
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD or Master’s) in biology, pharmacology, chemistry, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably in Business Development, Licensing, or Portfolio Strategy.
- Proven track record of executing global out‑licensing deals in biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including asset valuation, modeling, and deal structuring.
- Deep understanding of drug development, regulatory pathways, and commercialization strategies.
- Executive‑level negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a fast‑paced, international setting.
- Fluent English and Chinese (written and spoken) are required
