Responsibilities
- Provide internal assistance to 2-4 Employee Benefits Account Managers.
- Assist Account Management team in delivering client service and meeting client retention goals.
- Handle all product implementation paperwork with carriers.
- Request, review, and coordinate updates. Track client plan documents such as booklets, contracts, SPDs, etc.
- Assist Account Managers with the preparation of materials for client meetings and renewals.
- Track and manage compliance documents as needed.
- Assist with enrollment and billing issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate client and team information in agency management systems. Maintain client documents in shared drive.
- Gather renewal information. Assemble applications and schedules for Account Management team.
- Prepare draft client communication materials. Includes guides, Brainshark’s, and education PowerPoints).
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal partners, clients, and carriers.
- Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.
- Active engagement and participation in trainings relative to the USI Career Track Program with emphasis on gaining knowledge necessary to perform Account Manager role.
- Commitment to continued Career Track Program trainings (20%) throughout the remainder of the program.
- Successful completion of year one in the Employee Benefits Account Management Career Track Program.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must hold a state Health, Life & Disability insurance license.
- Expected to be knowledgeable on all compliance topics. Includes ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform.
- Ability to work in a team environment and set priorities and manage deadlines.
- Ability to define problems and generate potential solutions.
- Eager to learn new concepts and further professional development.
- Detail oriented and prioritizes accuracy.
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks with both concrete and abstract variables.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft office products.
- Open to feedback and coaching.
