We're Hiring an Estimator

You'll own the full estimating cycle on structural and ornamental steel projects, work directly in Tekla, and carry a project management load on a portion of your awarded jobs. It's a high-volume seat with real variety, from same-day orders to multi-month contracts. For estimators who want it, there's a defined path from Estimating into Project Management.

What You'll Do

• Work your bid queue from the Bid Board: pull assignments, keep them organized and prioritized, and move each one through to a finished, sent quote
• Own the full estimating cycle on structural and ornamental steel projects: takeoff of materials, shop labor, equipment, and installation labor
• Run a high volume of concurrent bids across residential and commercial scopes, from same-day orders to multi-month contracts
• Work in Tekla Estimating and Tekla Order Entry to enter takeoffs, generate estimate summaries, and produce detailed quote confirmations
• Handle inbound call-in and walk-in customers directly
• Bring projects to weekly bid reviews, plus additional reviews as needed
• Enter awarded orders into Tekla and arrange a customer kickoff introduction
• Carry a project management load on a portion of your jobs: scheduling, customer communication, delivery coordination, and invoicing support through close
• Travel occasionally to our Cincinnati and Indianapolis markets

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in structural, ornamental, or commercial/residential construction estimating
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scope descriptions
• Tekla Estimating experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Associate's degree or higher in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field
• The three habits that drive estimating success here: staying organized, knowing how to prioritize, and communicating well across customers, your lead, and other departments
