Maintenance Coordinator - Full Time

Duties include, but not limited to:
Directing and controlling all operations of the Maintenance department:
- Requires hands-on work, alone or with assistants
- Completion of routine, non-routine and emergency maintenance and repairs
- Emergency work may be required at any time, day or night
- Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the administrator concerning the department
- Assures compliance of facilities with applicable governmental regulation including federal, state, local, fire marshal and local health department.
- Hold in-service training sessions with facility administration and staff members covering emergency response (fire and/or disaster), proper equipment usage and operation, facility bus operation and safety requirements and other in-service topics covering the safety of the residents, resident staff members, resident family members and visitors
- Ensure all staff members utilize proper PPE (Personal Protective equipment) within their department
- Manage and revise OSHA standards as required
- Manage, document and file all required safety system inspections and logs
- The development of facility maintenance strategic planning and budgeting
- Professional contacts include facility management and staff, residents, resident family members, local & state regulatory authorities (fire marshals, building inspectors, local fire department, Ohio Department of Health Representatives, etc.)
- The Maintenance Coordinator must possess a minimum of a high school education or equivalent
