Ona Therapeutics is a biotech company located in Barcelona (Parc Científic de Barcelona, PCB), focused on developing first-in-class antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) for advanced cancer treatment. By partnering with leading academics and clinicians, we identify novel therapeutic targets from the unique biology of treatment refractory advanced cancer patients, to provide effective new treatments for patients with no remaining alternatives.

Scope

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong scientific background to support data-driven decision-making across our project portfolio and strategic initiatives.


This role sits at the intersection of science, data, and project strategy, supporting the Head of Project & Business Management in transforming complex biological, clinical, and industry data into structured insights that guide internal decision-making.


You will play a key role in strengthening how the company uses data to evaluate priorities, track programs, and understand the competitive landscape.

Role and Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Data Analysis

  • Develop a deep understanding of the biotech/pharma landscape, including competitors, modalities, and therapeutic trends
  • Gather, structure, and analyse scientific, clinical, and regulatory data (clinical trials, publications, databases, etc.)
  • Translate complex datasets into clear insights, summaries, and decision-support materials
  • Support portfolio and project teams by providing data-driven insights for prioritisation and planning
  • Contribute to the definition of key analytical frameworks and indicators for project and portfolio evaluation
  • Support the Head of Project & Business Management in preparing data-driven analyses for internal decision-making


Strategic Insight & External Analysis

  • Support evaluation of external opportunities (assets, indications, collaborations) through structured data analysis
  • Contribute to competitive intelligence and landscape mapping
  • Assist in preparing analytical inputs for strategic discussions and presentations


Scientific Integration

  • Participate in internal scientific and project meetings
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and project management teams to understand data needs
  • Contribute to a data-driven culture across project execution and decision-making


Tools & Data Systems

  • Support the structuring and maintenance of internal BI and project intelligence databases
  • Work with scientific databases, literature sources, and internal data systems
  • Contribute to improving how data is collected, structured, and visualised across projects

Qualifications Requirements

  • PhD in relevant scientific fields (Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, etc.)
  • Relevant professional experience in business intelligence highly analytical roles within biotech, consulting, venture capital, or technology transfer, demonstrating strong ability to structure complex problems, interpret data-driven insights, and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Strong interest in biotech, data analysis, and project/portfolio decision-making
  • Experience in oncology, immunology, drug-development or related
