Principal Fullstack Engineer (Leading Financial Firm)

A global leader in financial market infrastructure is building a next-generation trading and data platform in partnership with AWS and they’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer to play a key role in shaping it.

This is a high-impact opportunity to work on a greenfield-style platform, influence architecture decisions, and lead from the front in a modern, cloud-native environment.

This role follows a hybrid working model, with regular in-office attendance required alongside remote flexibility.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading full-stack development using React, TypeScript, and modern APIs
• Driving architecture and best practices across the platform
• Building scalable, event-driven, cloud-native systems
• Coaching engineers and contributing to a strong engineering culture
• Working in Agile teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready software

What You Bring

• Strong full-stack experience with TypeScript + React
• Backend expertise (Node.js / Java / C#) and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate, AppSync)
• Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL, WebSockets
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, and modern SDLC practices
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence teams
