Summary

Seeking a highly experienced, high-energy lead facilitator to run a 5-week, full-day, in-person Entrepreneurship with AI Incubator for high school students.

This is not a traditional teaching role. This is an incubator-style leadership role requiring:

• Exceptional facilitation skills
• Experience managing large, dynamic groups
• Ability to lead and direct a team of Teaching Assistants
• Strong entrepreneurial and applied AI fluency

The instructor will lead students to build real-world, tech-enabled ventures, culminating in a validated business concept and a functional MVP.

Through a hands-on learning experience, students will practice collaborative entrepreneurship, product development and testing, and applying AI tools to research, build, and launch tech-enabled ventures, while developing critical competencies in problem-solving, collaboration, design thinking, financial management, community engagement, and communication.

Background to 2026 Summer Engagement

For a sixth year, Cambio Labs and Prep for Prep are partnering to deliver the Institute for Entrepreneurship (IFE) - an intensive summer entrepreneurship program for rising 10th–12th graders, focused on building and launching real ventures using AI tools.

Cambio Labs creates educational technology and curricular programs that transform students into entrepreneurs, designers for impact, and community activists. Prep for Prep develops future leaders by creating access for young people of color to first-rate educational, leadership development, and professional advancement opportunities.

Program Model

Students work in teams to ideate, prototype, and launch ventures using Cambio Labs’ proprietary Journey platform, combining:

• Project-based learning
• AI-assisted tools for startup innovation
• Team-based startup development

By using the gamified Journey portal and software, program participants can watch video lessons, engage in project-based challenges, earn rewards, collaborate with their startup team members, and submit their assignments online. At the end of the program, participants will pitch their ventures in front of a panel of entrepreneurial experts for prizes.

Role Overview

The Instructor leads a 5-week student venture incubator. The IFE Instructor will:

• Lead a full cohort through a fast-paced, high-intensity learning experience
• Manage and direct multiple Teaching Assistants
• Facilitate full-group instruction, breakouts, and team-based startup work
• Drive energy, pacing, and engagement across long instructional days
• Ensure all teams reach concrete outcomes (MVP + pitch) within 5 weeks

This role requires constant facilitation, real-time decision-making, and strong classroom command.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver Cambio Labs’ Entrepreneurship Incubator and AI Innovation curriculum with high energy and strong facilitation.
• Deliver the program on Journey, Cambio Labs’ proprietary platform, for live facilitation and general course management
• Manage, coach, and deploy Teaching Assistants to support student teams
• Guide students in using AI tools for real venture development, while encouraging critical thinking, safe and responsible use, and ethical decisionmaking
• Run daily programming with tight pacing and clear outcomes
• Coordinate & help host: Guest speakers; Mentors; Site visits; Final pitch event & judges
• Ensure teams progress toward: Validated ideas; Functional prototypes, Final presentations
• Participate in: (i) Weekly planning with Cambio Labs (ii) Daily coordination with TAs

Requirements

This role is not for early-career instructors. Candidates must demonstrate:

• Strong facilitation experience: Ability to lead large, high-energy groups
• You’ve built, coached, or operated in startup environments
• Experience managing teams: Comfortable directing Teaching Assistants
• Applied AI fluency: Ability to teach practical use of AI tools, not just theory
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Manage and adapt effectively to changes and requests from Prep for Prep, external partners, and the Cambio and communications team
• Balance structure with flexibility

Preferred Skills & Competencies

Experience with:

• Project-based or experiential learning
• Coaching student teams
• Social entrepreneurship
• Teaching or facilitation in diverse classrooms
• Experience working with AI tools beyond basic prompting
• Familiarity with emerging concepts like agentic AI, RAGs, Skills and Tool calls and their use in instructional materials both in Education and Entrepreneurship.
• Experience applying AI tools to real-world use cases (e.g., venture building, research, product development, automation)
• Ability to guide students through the workflows needed to translate their ideas into tangible outputs (logos, fliers, videos, etc)
• Ability to discuss issues of race, inequity, and systems

Compensation

$10,000 USD (pre-tax) project-based salary. Candidates will be employed as an independent contractor and will be responsible for their own income tax filing and procedures. No additional benefits included.
