Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Honolulu, HI, with flexibility for some remote work. As the Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing fundraising strategies, building relationships with donors, and securing funding sources. Daily tasks include grant writing, donor stewardship, event planning and coordination, and managing the organization's fundraising campaigns. You will collaborate with the executive team to ensure alignment with HMH’s mission and long-term financial goals.
Qualifications
- Strong fundraising, grant writing, and donor relationship management skills
- Expertise in event planning and campaign coordination
- Experience with marketing and communication tools for donor engagement
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently while meeting organizational goals
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with donor databases or CRM software is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Hawaiian culture and history is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Fundraising, or a related field
