AI and Software Developer

Braingnosis builds AI driven software that helps pharma and healthcare teams run scientific workflows faster and more reliably. We connect intelligent agents with lab systems, data, and people so complex work becomes repeatable, auditable, and easier to scale.

What You Will Work On

Build and ship backend and AI powered services that support agent workflows and product features

• Develop agent capabilities, including tool use, planning, memory, and reliable execution with human review when needed
• Integrate LLM based systems with real data sources, document stores, and scientific workflow inputs
• Design and maintain APIs that power the product, including auth, rate limits, logs, and error handling
• Implement evals and monitoring for quality, safety, and reliability
• Improve performance and cost efficiency across inference, retrieval, and data pipelines
• Collaborate with frontend and product to deliver end to end features, from prototype to production

What we expect from you

• Strong programming fundamentals in Python and or TypeScript, plus Git workflows
• Experience building backend services, APIs, and working with databases
• Practical experience with LLM powered apps or ML projects, through internships, research, freelance, or personal work
• Ability to write clean modular code, add tests, debug issues, and own small to medium features end to end
• Comfort working independently, communicating clearly, and iterating quickly

• Experience with agent frameworks or orchestration patterns, tool calling, function routing, state machines
• RAG experience, embeddings, vector databases, chunking, reranking, retrieval evaluation
• Experience deploying models or services, Docker, cloud services, CI CD, background jobs
• Familiarity with observability, tracing, structured logging, metrics, model monitoring

• You have shipped at least one real project and can explain your design decisions and tradeoffs
• You care about reliability and can build guardrails, tests, and monitoring, not only demos
• You take ownership and can move from idea to working product code
• You are curious about AI systems and enjoy building practical software that interacts with real world workflows
