Senior Technical Program Manager


An innovative aerospace & defense startup developing advanced unmanned systems is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead software programs.


This role will drive cross-functional execution for complex software initiatives focused on reliability, product continuity, and system improvements. You’ll partner closely with engineering teams to manage schedules, risks, technical issues, and delivery across multiple concurrent programs.

Responsibilities


  • Lead end-to-end software program execution from planning through release.
  • Drive agile project management activities including roadmap planning, sprint execution, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across software, systems, and hardware engineering.
  • Track technical issues, escalations, and root cause resolutions.
  • Improve program management processes and delivery frameworks as the organization scales.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of technical program or project management experience.
  • Background in aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, defense, or similar high-tech industries.
  • Experience managing complex software and electro-mechanical development programs.
  • Strong knowledge of agile tools and project scheduling platforms (Jira, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
