Private Equity Associate

A healthcare-focused private equity firm based in Tampa is seeking to add an Associate to its growing investment team. The firm invests in lower middle market companies across healthcare services, pharma services, medical products, tech-enabled services, and related sectors, partnering closely with management teams to drive operational and strategic growth initiatives.

The team is open to candidates from a variety of industry backgrounds and is willing to consider strong generalist investment banking or private equity profiles with solid transaction experience and a genuine interest in investing.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investment opportunities through financial modeling, valuation analysis, and industry research
• Support due diligence efforts across financial, commercial, and operational workstreams
• Assist with transaction execution and coordination with management teams, lenders, and external advisors
• Prepare investment committee materials and internal presentations
• Work closely with portfolio company leadership teams on strategic and operational initiatives

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or transaction-related finance
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• Healthcare experience is welcomed but not required
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
