IT Infrastructure Lead

About The Role

As part of the SANY America’s team, SANY America is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead to serve as the primary IT infrastructure leader for SANY America, responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the company’s technology backbone. You will oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, cybersecurity, and end-user computing. This position blends strategic planning with hands-on technical execution and the ability to resolve urgent technical issues. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, coordinate with external vendors (including managed service providers), and collaborate extensively with our headquarters IT team in China.

With current revenues over $500 million, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market; the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase their market share.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure including servers (Windows), virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
  • Oversee server room operations and backup/recovery solutions.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems and proactively address capacity planning and disaster recovery.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Architecture
  • Manage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), ensuring cost-effective and secure deployment.
  • Manage hybrid environments and coordinate cloud resource provisioning, identity, and access control.

Network & Connectivity

  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi, and internet connections across multiple sites.
  • Ensure network performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage connectivity for remote users and branch offices securely and reliably.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity frameworks, including firewall policies, endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
  • Manage patching, antivirus, and email security.
  • Oversee and maintain all IT cyber security programs and monitor potential security threats.
  • Ensure data management practices comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with HQ IT to align with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • End User Computing & Support
  • Oversee PC/laptop/mobile device lifecycle management, including imaging, software deployment, and inventory tracking.
  • Coordinate with help desk teams to ensure high-quality IT support for internal users.
  • As secondary tier or backup of help desk support, provide technical support to users.
  • Manage and support a range of systems and tools (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Email, Teams, Feishu, CAD, etc.).

IT Assets Management

  • Manage hardware, including servers, copiers, printers, PCs, screens, network equipment, etc.
  • Manage other assets, like Domain.

Vendor & Asset Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, ISPs, MSPs, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, licenses, and support agreements.
  • Oversee IT asset management, procurement, and budgeting. Project Management. Lead organizational technology projects, providing project support and overseeing the execution of departmental IT infrastructure initiatives, and ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Others

  • Develop and implement reporting processes to track performance and provide progress updates for operational and project activities, like reporting, KPIs, and insights to IT Director.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for system use and data security, and create instructional manuals for end-users.
  • Manage IT infrastructure budgets and expenditures.
  • Handle other duties as assigned, including IT infrastructure training others on existing processes.
  • Provide IT infrastructure support to app systems team.
  • Manage conference equipment to ensure smooth meeting experience for users.

Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, security protocols, network and systems administration, databases, data storage, and telecommunications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent project/vendor management skills.
  • Ability to support both on-site and remote users via email, phone, and video chat.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure and communicate changes in deadlines clearly.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft environments and expertise in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and network equipment.
  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and skilled in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, 3+years of management server room or data center.
  • Experience developing and managing APIs (REST, JSON, XML).
  • Hands-on experience with SFTP/FTP protocols, including automation and security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and system integrations.
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity, file transfer, and API-related issues.

Strong Hands-on Experience With

  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Virtualization (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
  • Backup and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Information security tools and best practices.
  • Proven experience with windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite and other common software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

Preffered Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or MBA.
  • Certifications such as: CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification a plus.
  • Experience with ERP or enterprise software support (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
  • Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, or multi-site enterprise environments.
  • Fluent Chinese speak is a plus
