Main Duties
Key responsibilities for the Role:
- Daily transactions: Processing of all daily transactions in IFRS accounting, such as bank accounting, assets commissioning or scrapping, Manual Journal Entries posting etc.
- Monthly and annual transactions: Assisting in the main transactions in statutory accounting, tax compliance and tax reporting, including quarterly and yearly closing entries relevant to local accounts.
- Closing documentation: Assisting in the preparation of the closing documentation and performing the relevant reconciliations (e.g. reconciliation of trade payable and trade receivable accounts, bank reconciliations).
- Financial statements: Assisting in the preparation of yearly statutory financial statements and corporate tax returns.
- Tax compliance: Participating in the submission of tax returns and payments, as well as VAT declarations.
- Deferred taxes: Participating in the monitoring of deferred taxes calculations and temporary differences.
- Reporting Packages: Participating in the processing of the French reporting packages in the Consolidation tool (BFC) on monthly basis.
- Business partnering: Collaborating with central and local teams in managing the monthly and yearly closing processes and Participating in business meetings and providing support in accounting and tax topics.
- Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of General ledger Accounting process.
- Quality checks: Ensuring quality checks and review of the financial data in his/her scope.
- Participating in defining the change in policies and procedures of the legal entity.
- Contributing to Internal Controls definition for processes in scope and supporting external audit processes.

- Statutory auditors, tax authorities
- Completed commercial university degree, e.g. in business administration (BWL) with a focus on accounting/ financial reporting/financial management or a comparable qualification as a tax consultant, tax specialist or accountant; alternatively completed training as an accountant or tax clerk with corresponding experience
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting and Tax compliance (including internships)
- Organizational skills such as the ability to coordinate and consolidate input from multiple stakeholders
- Flexible team player, proactive
- Building partnership and trust over time with key stakeholders
- Basic skills to work with Excel, Power BI
- Basic knowledge of accounting and ERP software SAP (FICO, AA, …), tax compliance & reporting tools
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in German and Professional English
