Preschool Teacher

Bon Aqua Childcare Center located in Lyles, TN is anticipating a full time preschool teaching position. The position would be 40 hours a week with a shift of 10 hours (4 days). The classroom would range in age from 3 years to 5 years. Preschool teachers share the classroom with a co-teacher. This teacher would be required to put in his or her best effort in building a team atmosphere as well as coordinating the curriculum and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children.

Duties

• High School Diploma (preferred Early Childhood Training /courses)
• Optional:Preferred having or working toward your CDA
• Optional: CDA
• Optional: Associates in related field- *pay scale
• Optional: Bachelor Degree in related field (pay compensated using pay scale)
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Optional: Preschool Specialization through CCR&R.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.

• Active engagement, attentiveness, physical ability to move, sit, squat, bend, & crawl.
• Work a 10 hour shift: 7-5, or 7:30-5:30, or 6:30-4:30
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification OR willing to complete upon employment.
• A strong understanding of child development.

1 or more year(s) experience in a full time preschool classroom position.
