We are looking for a Strategic Commercial Partnerships Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our Commercial Business Development team. This position can be filled at our headquarters team in Mannheim.
Your Tasks
As a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical market, you will manage and develop pan‑European strategic partnerships and key accounts, particularly across BioSimilars, Vaccines, Generics and OTC/Consumer.
You will act as a strategic interface between key european partners, countries, and internal stakeholders—driving sustainable value creation across PHOENIX’s physical and digital products within Retail and Wholesale.
- Build and develop pan‑European manufacturer relationships from transactional to long‑term strategic partnerships.
- Manage and grow key accounts using structured KAM frameworks within a complex matrix organization.
- Define, analyse, and continuously reassess partner needs, opportunities, and joint growth initiatives.
- Manage pan‑European commercial negotiations and contracts, supporting country‑level negotiations where needed.
- Drive innovation and value creation across PHOENIX pharmacy concepts, franchise models, and digital and physical partnership programs.
- Co‑create and execute commercial strategies, campaigns, and activity plans with manufacturers and country organizations.
- Identify and deliver joint value‑generating initiatives through structured business reviews and continuous improvement cycles.
- Coordinate and support multi‑market tenders and proposals in close collaboration with local commercial teams.
- Lead cross‑functional, cross‑country project teams in agile working modes to deliver optimised partner solutions.
- Collaborate closely with all PHOENIX countries to ensure alignment, compliance, and sustainable GX and OTC procurement outcomes.
- Plan and execute C‑level meetings, international partner summits, and steering committees.
- Prepare high‑impact presentations and materials, manage CRM data, and deliver reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- University degree in business, economics, life sciences, supply chain, or related fields; PhD applicants welcome.
- 10+ years of experience managing large commercial partnerships and/or key accounts, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry; adjacent industries (FMCG, medical devices, animal health, commodities) considered.
- Strong strategic, commercial, and negotiation skills, including effective engagement at C‑level.
- Highly customer‑oriented, with a clear focus on long‑term, value‑based partnerships.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills in international environments.
- Entrepreneurial, solution‑oriented mindset with strong personal drive and accountability.
- Structured, results‑driven, and team‑oriented way of working within matrix organizations.
- Advanced MS Office proficiency; experience with CRM systems is an advantage; fluent English required, additional European languages a plus.
