About us

AIM Solutions is an early-stage deep-tech startup in Eindhoven building inspection and metrology equipment for the semiconductor industry. We are in active build phase, small, and growing.


The role

You will own the mechanical and mechatronic side of our prototype tool. As subsystems come together, you are the person who makes sure they physically fit, cable up cleanly, and move in a way that serves the system as a whole.


Concretely, you will:

  • Take over general mechanical design across subsystems, including precision assemblies, motion systems and opto-mechanical interfaces

  • Own cabling and routing design as subsystems integrate into the full tool
  • Participate in the mechanical design of selected subsystems, including the interface with external engineering partners


Your profile

  • Experienced in CAD. You set the mechanical design standards the rest of the team works within.
  • Comfortable designing precision mechanical assemblies and opto-mechanical interfaces
  • Experience interfacing with external engineering suppliers, writing mechanical interface specifications, and reviewing delivered designs
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • BSc with 5+ years, or MSc with 3+ years of relevant experience in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or precision engineering


Bonus experience in any of these:

  • Working knowledge of motion control systems
  • Hands-on experience with electronics interfaces and ability read/understand electronic schematics
  • Comfortable with Python for scripting and quick hardware tests
  • Optical systems
  • Scientific instrument or semiconductor equipment development
