We’re looking for someone who is creative, organized, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people. If you’re a strong communicator who is ready to learn the ropes of nonprofit development, marketing, and public relations, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Digital Storytelling: Manage our social media presence and monthly newsletters. You’ll create engaging content that highlights our mission, updates our community on our activities, and keeps New Leaf top-of-mind for our supporters.
- Donor Outreach: Assist in making "the ask." You’ll help coordinate fundraising appeals and reach out to potential donors to share how their contributions make an impact.
- Supporter Stewardship: Ensure our donors feel appreciated. You’ll be responsible for timely follow-ups, thank-you notes, and maintaining positive relationships with the people who support our work.
- Administrative Support: Handle the "behind-the-scenes" mechanics of fundraising, including processing donations, updating our CRM (donor database), and ensuring our records are accurate and transparent.
- Content Creation: Help draft blogs, press releases, and promotional materials that increase awareness of our services and our impact on the community.
- Communication Skills: You should be a strong writer and a confident talker. Whether it’s a caption for a post or a donor email, you know how to strike the right tone.
- Tech Savvy: You’re comfortable with social media platforms and eager to learn tools like email marketing software and CRM databases.
- Personable & Proactive: You enjoy building relationships and aren’t afraid to pick up the phone or initiate a conversation.
- Willingness to Learn: You don’t need a decade of experience, but you do need an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to grow your skillset on the job.
- Mission-Driven: A genuine interest in the mental health community and our goal of providing affordable, effective care is essential.
