2026 Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition – Toronto Division
ID8 Ventures, is formally announces the opening of the institutional deal flow pipeline for the 2026 Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition in partnership with Homevalley Capital and other Venture Capitalist. We are actively sourcing high-caliber North American hard-tech ventures seeking capital deployment and structural global expansion.
The Capital Mandate & Resource Matrix Selected companies will gain access to a ~$58M CAD equivalent dedicated investment pool, structured to provide both direct equity and extended operational runway:
- Direct Equity Injections: Single-ticket equity allocations ranging from ~$600K to $2M CAD equivalent for projects demonstrating exceptional commercial viability.
- Credit Facilities: Up to ~$20M CAD equivalent in non-dilutive corporate credit support to accelerate manufacturing and operational scaling, supplemented by specialized founder credit lines.
- Global Market Entry: A fully subsidized international expansion program, including executive travel to the global finals and 365 days of localized operational matchmaking.

Evaluation Criteria We are screening ventures ranging from Proof of Concept (POC) through Series B. The investment committee will strictly evaluate projects based on definitive technological moats, validated commercial logic, and cross-regional scaling potential. Priority will be given to founding teams with robust academic backgrounds or professional experience within top-tier tech corporations and research institutes.
Timeline & Next Steps The primary screening will culminate in a closed-door institutional pitch session in Toronto on June 13, 2026. Advancing teams will engage in high-density pitches followed by direct Q&A with participating GPs and other judges.
