Full Stack Engineer (Python, React, AI)

Full-Stack AI Engineer (12-Month Contract) – Dublin

Hybrid Role (1 day/week in office)

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack AI Engineer to join our client on a 12-month contract. This is a hybrid delivery role combining hands-on development of GenAI-powered applications with a strong emphasis on training, enablement, and upskilling teams. You will build production-grade AI solutions, support existing applications, and help drive adoption of new technologies across the organisation.

The ideal person is technically strong, a confident communicator, and passionate about enabling others to work effectively with modern AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade GenAI applications
• Build and maintain AI-powered systems and existing applications
• Deliver technical training and enablement sessions for engineering teams
• Support adoption of AI tools and best practices across the organisation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions

Required Skills

GenAI & Agentic Systems (Primary Focus)

• AWS Bedrock (foundation models, multi-agent workflows, knowledge bases, evaluations, guardrails)
• MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integration
• RAG pipelines: embedding models, vector databases, chunking and parsing strategies
• Experience fine-tuning models for performance and efficiency
• LLM-based document processing at scale

Full-Stack Development

• Python (FastAPI, async programming, authentication, concurrency/multi-threading)
• React (streaming UIs, real-time chat interfaces, enterprise applications)
• REST APIs, WebSockets, Server-Sent Events
• SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Version control (Git) and automated testing

AWS Infrastructure

• AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, Bedrock, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, SQS
• Authentication & security: AWS Cognito, IAM, OAuth 2.0, JWT
• Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK)
• CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance

Experience Required

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• 2+ years experience in production AI/ML or GenAI development
• Strong track record working with AWS cloud environments
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of delivery
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent documentation skills (code, architecture, technical specifications)
