Your Sales Co is expanding its technical solutions capability and seeks a suitably qualified and experienced Technical Sales Representative to convert qualified leads into long-term client engagements.
This is a full-time position based in Subiaco, Perth, Western Australia.
Position Description (ANZSCO-aligned)
We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative (ANZSCO 225499) to provide technical consulting, solution design, and systems integration support to enterprise clients across cybersecurity and complex information technology environments.
The role is client-facing and includes commercial responsibility, requiring the incumbent to assess existing ICT environments, develop fit-for-purpose technical solutions, and support implementation activities.
Commercial outcomes are achieved through technical advisory services, solution architecture, and delivery support, rather than through transactional or quota-based sales activity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Consulting and Requirements Analysis
· Conduct technical discovery and assessment activities to document client ICT environments, security posture, and business and system requirements
· Analyse cloud, network, endpoint, and security infrastructure to determine current-state capability and constraints
· Identify architectural risks, inefficiencies, and integration issues, and recommend remediation options
Solution Design and Architecture Contributions
· Develop tailored cybersecurity and integrated ICT solution designs aligned to documented client requirements
· Contribute to solution architecture, including configuration standards, deployment models, and implementation approaches
· Prepare technical specifications, define solution scope, and document implementation pathways
Systems Integration and Implementation Support
· Develop and validate integration strategies across the following domains:
o Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure)
o Network infrastructure and associated services
o Security technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, IAM)
· Liaise with internal engineering teams to support deployment, integration, testing, and handover activities
Technical Engagement and Solution Development
· Facilitate technical workshops, solution demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements
· Translate complex technical concepts into practical, business-aligned solution recommendations
· Support clients through evaluation, adoption, and optimisation of implemented platforms and services
Commercial and Client Engagement (Technically Led)
· Support business development by proposing technically appropriate and compliant solutions that meet client requirements
· Develop and maintain client relationships through technical credibility, service quality, and solution outcomes
· Contribute to proposal preparation, solution scoping, and the development of technical documentation
Selection Criteria
· A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or a minimum of five (5) years of full-time employment in a closely related role
· A minimum of one (1) year of full-time, post-qualification experience in a closely related position
· Demonstrated experience in:
o Cybersecurity solution delivery
o Systems integration and/or technical solution design
o Client-facing technical roles with commercial accountability
· Sound knowledge of:
o Cloud platforms, networking concepts, and associated services
o Cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and industry best practices
Demonstrated capability to perform technical analysis, develop solution designs, and produce system documentation (including current-state and target-state mapping)
· Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
· English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS overall 5.0 or above (or equivalent testing standard)
This is a technical sales position with primary duties in technical consulting, solution architecture, and systems integration. Commercial outcomes are achieved through the delivery of complex, client-specific technical solutions rather than through transactional sales activity.
