- Review and analyze lease contracts and enter and/or approve leases in the lease management system
- Ensure new, modified, and terminated leases are identified, entered, and approved in the lease management system for timely preparation of lease journal entries
- Assist with the month end close process including subledger work in the lease management system and fixed asset system and internal and external financial reporting deliverables including roll forwards, footnotes and controls
- Assist with review and monitoring of balance sheet, profit and loss and general ledger lease account to the lease management system monthly reconciliations
- Assist with month end close process related to fixed asset system including running and tie out of monthly fixed asset system reports
- Identify risks and assist with process improvements, design, and implementation of controls in accordance with SOX
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
- Assist on projects, including process improvements and control initiatives, as well as system implementations
- Assist with projects and Ad Hoc requests as needed
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate accounting, experience in lease and fixed assets accounting preferred
- Strong knowledge of ASC842 Lease Accounting preferred
- Highly self-motivated and directed; takes initiative
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- CPA preferred but not required
- Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
- Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training.
