Senior Backend Engineer | Munich (Onsite)
A stealth-mode AI startup in the manufacturing space is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build the systems behind its core product. Their platform uses AI to simplify and accelerate technical sales workflows that are traditionally slow and manual.
The company is already live with customers and backed by top-tier investors. You’ll be joining a small, experienced team building production-grade systems from the ground up.
What you’ll be working on:
- Architecting and developing backend services and APIs
- Building infrastructure to support AI-powered workflows at scale
- Managing data flow, integrations, and system performance
- Partnering with AI and product teams to deliver end-to-end features
Ideal background:
- Strong experience in backend development (Python, Go, or similar)
- Good grasp of distributed systems, databases, and API design
- Experience running systems in production environments
- Comfortable operating with speed and ownership
Tech stack:
- Python, Temporal, OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini, LiteLLM, Langfuse, Pydantic AI
- Postgres, vector and graph databases
- Next.js, TypeScript
- Azure, GCP (Vertex), Pulumi
