X2M Connect (ASX: X2M) is an energy AI platform company operating at the frontier of behind-the-meter intelligence. Our Taiwan subsidiary delivers commercial and industrial (C&I) energy management software, smart metering, and battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions — combining AI-driven dispatch, TOU arbitrage optimization, and real-time demand management for industrial clients. We are growing our direct sales capability to win large-scale C&I BESS projects across Taiwan's manufacturing sector.

THE ROLE
As Director of Business Development, you will own the end-to-end sales motion for C&I clients operating at 800 kW and above — from first contact through signed contract. You will build and work through both direct and channel (SI/EPC partner) routes to market, leading with data-driven ROI analysis before any product conversation. This is a quota-carrying, field-intensive leadership role with a clear path to regional general management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▸ Market Development
Identify and prioritize C&I target accounts (manufacturing, chemical fiber, food processing, plastics) with peak demand ≥ 800 kW. Build and maintain a qualified pipeline via direct prospecting and channel partner activation (system integrators, EPC contractors, energy consultants).
▸ Data-Led Discovery & ROI Simulation
Secure client energy consumption data (AMI interval data, 15-min demand profiles, TaiPower billing records). Run pre-sales simulations using our ROI modeling platform across demand charge reduction, TOU arbitrage, and ancillary services revenue streams. Translate simulation outputs into a compelling business case.
▸ Demo & Proposal Delivery
Deliver bilingual (English/Chinese) live demos of our EMS platform and BESS ROI tools to factory energy managers and C-suite stakeholders. Author and negotiate commercial proposals covering BESS hardware, EMS software subscription, and metering — with a primary focus on closing integrated BESS + EMS packages.
▸ Client Energy Policy Advisory
Analyse each client's full energy cost structure — TOU tariff tier, demand charge (需量費), carbon fee exposure, and RE100/T-REC obligations — and position X2M's integrated solution as the commercial intelligence layer of their energy strategy.
▸ Channel & Partner Management
Recruit, enable, and co-sell with regional system integrator partners. Provide partners with sales tools, ROI models, and technical briefings. Define rules of engagement and commission structures in alignment with company policy.
▸ Pipeline & Reporting
Maintain accurate CRM records, revenue forecasts, and deal stage progression. Report weekly pipeline status and monthly revenue metrics to the Managing Director and ASX parent company leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
✔ 10+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience selling to Taiwan industrial / manufacturing clients, with consistent quota attainment at deal sizes ≥ NT$5M
✔ Demonstrated knowledge of Taiwan's electricity market: TaiPower TOU tariff structures (two-tier / three-tier), demand charge mechanics, and the TPC interconnection process
✔ Experience selling or implementing energy software platforms, SaaS, or IoT/smart metering solutions — familiarity with tools such as Energy Toolbase, Stem Athena, or equivalent EMS platforms strongly preferred
✔ Proven track record managing both direct and channel (SI / EPC) sales motions simultaneously
✔ Fluent in Mandarin (client-facing) and business-proficient in English (internal reporting, proposal authoring, and HQ communication)
✔ Ability to interpret interval energy data, basic load profiles, and financial models (payback period, IRR/NPV) for client presentations
Preferred
+ Direct experience selling BESS, solar + storage, or grid-edge hardware/software bundles to C&I customers in Taiwan or APAC
+ Familiarity with Taiwan's ancillary services / spinning reserve (備轉容量) market and ETP aggregation platform
+ Background in electrical engineering, energy management, or related technical discipline
+ Experience working with or for an ASX/NYSE-listed technology company, including international reporting cadences
+ Existing network in Taiwan's C&I manufacturing sector (chemical fiber, plastics, food processing, semiconductors, or electronics supply chain)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Total Annual Compensation
Fixed monthly base salary + annual performance bonus upon achieving revenue quota + stock options in X2M Connect (ASX: X2M). Full package structure disclosed during the interview process.
Work from Home — Quota-Based Flexibility
Candidates who consistently meet monthly and quarterly sales quotas are fully eligible to work remotely. We evaluate on outcomes, not office presence. Field visits to client sites remain as needed.
