Wallowa Resources (WR) is a community-based 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation established in 1996 with leadership from Wallowa County Commissioners. Since then, WR has worked to bring people together to empower rural communities to create strong economies and healthy landscapes through land stewardship, education, and job creation. We strive to balance rural economic well-being with the stewardship and conservation of its resources, preserving each rural area’s heritage of making a living from the land.
Role Description
The Community Energy & Economy Program Manager will oversee and implement programs designed to strengthen local renewable energy and economic development initiatives. Responsibilities include managing program goals and timelines, engaging with community members and stakeholders, leading project design and execution, and supporting the development of community-focused strategies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Enterprise, OR.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years supervising staff and managing budgets
- 3+ years working within regulatory compliance frameworks
- Grant writing and contract management experience
- Strong communicator who thrives with stakeholders, clients, and community members
- Technical degree preferred; renewable energy or natural resources background a plus
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check

- Enterprise, Oregon (on-site)
- $60,000 – $90,000
- 36 hours/week, full-time, nonexempt
