Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Follow defined stages: Networking > Leads > Engaged = Opportunity
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within A&D firms, commercial real estate partners, and industry influencers
- Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to grow market share across construction, flooring, and furniture offerings
- Cultivate relationships to convert leads to qualified opportunities and transition to Account Management for follow-up and close
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with architects, designers, brokers, developers, and project stakeholders
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility
- Position Circadia as a long-term strategic partner through consistent communication and value-driven engagement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and aligning solutions across all divisions
- Partner closely with internal construction, flooring, and furniture teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Promote the value of bundled services and full-scope capabilities
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics
- Identify emerging sectors, major capital projects, and high-value pursuits
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to leadership
- Drive long-term growth by targeting key competitive accounts and supporting broader strategic planning efforts
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records and track key performance metrics
- Develop and forecast a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities
- Regularly report progress to leadership, evaluating the effectiveness of strategies and business development activities
- Monitor the success of events and campaigns, using data and insights to refine and adjust strategies
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing client accounts
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with Steelcase and/or commercial furniture products and/or familiarity with commercial construction and flooring solutions is highly desirable.
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to generate leads, close sales, and achieve revenue goals.
- Persuasive Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences.
- Strategic Thinker: Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and opportunity development.
- Relationship Builder: Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and grow client relationships.

- Collaborative Leader: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales, design, project management, and operations.
- Market-Savvy: Deep understanding of A&D, commercial real estate, and design industry dynamics.
- Technologically Proficient: Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office or similar business productivity tools.
- Regional Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development efforts.
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, architecture, interior design, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales experience in commercial interiors, construction, furniture, or related industries
- Established relationships within A&D and/or commercial real estate communities or industry influencers strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of the commercial project lifecycle
