Position: Production Test Pilot / CFI
Reports To: Director of Operations
Status: Exempt
Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000 / Year
Up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available
BASIC WORKER FUNCTION:
Conduct production flight test of new aircraft. This entails following an approved procedure to test and adjust the aircraft, engines, avionics systems, and other related systems to ensure that the aircraft is in accordance with existing design and performance specifications.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
- Conduct production acceptance flight tests of Enstrom helicopters to ensure the aircraft meets FAA certification standards.
- Debrief engineering and manufacturing personnel of ground and flight discrepancies and provide technical assistance to aid in resolving discrepancies and problems.
- Track & balance main rotor blade sets.
- Conduct pre/post maintenance flights of customer aircraft to determine airworthiness and compliance with FAA standards.
- Support Sales and Marketing by conducting demonstration flights.
- Adhere to production acceptance test procedures and company SOP's.
- 1000 minimum helicopter flight hours as Pilot in Command.
- Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial and CFI certificates.
- 5 years minimum Rotorcraft Commercial and/or flight test experience.
- A&P license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs overhead.
- FAA Commercial Rotorcraft (Helicopter) Pilot Certificate.
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) with helicopter experience.
- Minimum of 1000 helicopter flight hours.
- Production or acceptance flight test experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards.
- Rotorcraft Instrument Rating
- Rotorcraft CFII
- 250 minimum helicopter flight hours with each piston and turbine powerplants
- Previous Enstrom flight time
- Able to sit for long periods during flight operations.
- Able to enter, exit, and operate aircraft in hangar and flight line areas.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Adequate vision and hearing to safely operate aircraft.
- Able to perform preflight and postflight inspections.
- Must meet FAA medical requirements.
