Financial Controller

General Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Implement internal controls and risk management policies.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide financial analysis to support senior management in strategic decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

Hotel Sector Specific Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue management and track performance by revenue streams (rooms, F&B, banqueting, spa, etc.).
• Monitor occupancy rates, ADR (Average Daily Rate), RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room), and other hospitality KPIs.
• Implement internal controls for cash handling, guest billing, and credit management.
• Manage financial planning for renovations, upgrades, and expansion projects.
• Coordinate with operations on cost control for procurement, inventory, and vendor management.
• Support management in pricing strategies, promotions, and seasonal financial forecasting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance and hotel field .
• Strong knowledge of industry-specific software (PMS like Opera for hotels, ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
