Wire & Disbursement Specialist/Real Estate Paralegal

About Us

We are a busy and growing real estate law office based in Lynnfield, MA, with a team of professionals. We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Post-Closing Paralegal to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and completion of all post-closing financial and legal processes.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling post-closing procedures in residential real estate transactions, with a strong focus on financial accuracy and compliance. This role requires someone who is meticulous, highly organized, and confident managing sensitive financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage all aspects of the financial post-closing process for residential real estate transactions

● Send, receive, and verify wire transfers with absolute accuracy

● Reconcile and confirm all incoming and outgoing funds

● Prepare and issue checks as needed for files

● Balance files and ensure all financials are accurate and complete

● Review and work with HUD-1 Settlement Statements and Closing Disclosures (CDs)

● Communicate with lenders, clients, and internal staff regarding post-closing matters

● Maintain organized and audit-ready files

● Prepare, review, and finalize post-closing files

Qualifications

● Minimum 5+ years of real estate paralegal experience

● Working knowledge of Qualia is a +

● Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and closing processes

● Extensive experience handling wire transfers and financial reconciliation

● Familiarity with HUDs and Closing Disclosures (CDs)

● Exceptional attention to detail — especially with financial data

● Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

● Strong organizational and communication skills

● High level of integrity and accountability
