Responsibilities:
- Repair drive trains, electrical systems, hydraulic system and other components on heavy trucks and equipment.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to isolate mechanical failure and troubleshooting.
- Identify and solve mechanical and electrical issues such as motors, lights, air brakes, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment.
- Operate vehicles to diagnose problems and to verify that the vehicle is repaired.
- Adhere to strict safety requirements and procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years as a heavy duty/diesel mechanic required
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40 pounds
- Ability to listen, follow directions and a strong desire to enhance skills
- Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
- Flexible schedule with strong attendance is required
