Estimator – Commercial Construction

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX

A reputable Commercial General Contractor in the DFW area is looking to hire an experienced Estimator to support their growing preconstruction team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and expanding company with a strong pipeline of ground-up commercial projects across the Metroplex.

Project values range from $5M–$50M+.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate conceptual and hard bid estimates for ground-up commercial projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing exercises
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Assist with bid leveling, scope reviews, and value engineering
• Collaborate with Operations and Project Management teams during preconstruction
• Help develop budgets, schedules, and bid proposals
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Estimator with a Commercial General Contractor
• Experience estimating ground-up commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, OST, Procore, or similar
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
