What You’ll Do
- Build positive, supportive relationships with individuals with autism.
- Advocate for full community integration and assist individuals in achieving independence.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, following individualized Person-Centered Plans.
- Support individuals with their employment, social, and recreational activities.
- Monitor progress, document behaviors, and report any concerns.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to provide holistic support.
- Maintain safety and compliance with State and Autism Delaware regulations.
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and up-to-date auto insurance.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and driving record reviews.
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and best practices (preferred, but not required).
- Patience, flexibility, and a desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and lift.
- Flexible work schedules, including weekends and evenings.
