Head of Operations - Manufacturing

Western Sydney | $200k-$220k + Super + 40% Bonus | On-site

An opportunity has opened with the ANZ arm of a global manufacturing organisation for an ambitious senior operational leader ready to step up into a broader Head of Operations role within a key Western Sydney site.

This position is ideal for someone currently operating at Plant Manager or Senior Operations Manager level who is ready to take on full site leadership and expand their remit across manufacturing, maintenance, WHS and operational performance.

The business is in a period of operational uplift and transformation, with a strong focus on strengthening Lean capability, improving end-to-end site performance and building a more structured, high-performing operational culture.

This is a rare step-up opportunity into a broader leadership role with increased scope, visibility and accountability within a global organisation.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of day-to-day operations across a large manufacturing site, leading both production and support functions while driving performance, safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all manufacturing and operational activities across the site
  • Driving WHS leadership and embedding a strong safety-first culture
  • Overseeing maintenance, engineering and facility performance
  • Improving productivity, efficiency and overall site performance metrics
  • Leading Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Developing frontline leaders and building operational capability
  • Driving a visible, hands-on leadership style across the shop floor
  • Supporting broader transformation and change initiatives

About You

This role will suit someone ready to take the next step in their career, with:

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial or complex operational environments
  • Current leadership at Plant Manager, Operations Manager or equivalent level
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing, CI or operational excellence programs
  • Experience leading teams through change, growth or transformation
  • Strong people leadership capability and ability to influence at all levels
  • Commercial awareness with increasing exposure to full site accountability
  • Engineering background (Mechanical or Electrical) highly regarded but not essential

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-potential operational leader looking to step up into a broader role with increased ownership, visibility and long-term progression within a global manufacturing business.
