Responsibilities
Contract Administration:
- Administrate and oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial review and negotiation to execution, amendments, and closeout.
- Review and analyze contract terms, conditions, and requirements to ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and project specifications.
- Prepare and distribute contract documents, including bid packages, subcontract agreements, change orders, and related correspondence.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date contract files, including all relevant documentation, correspondence, and approvals.
- Assist in developing subcontract agreements in coordination with Project Managers including contract, conditions and scope.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, timelines, and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, addressing concerns, resolving disputes, and ensuring contract compliance.
- Evaluate change order requests, assessing the impact on cost, schedule, and project scope.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators and prepare change orders.
- Track and document change order approvals, ensuring accurate billing and cost accounting.
- Collaborate with the legal team to mitigate risks, resolve disputes, and address non-compliance issues.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including insurance, bonding, licensing, and permits.
- Monitor contract performance metrics, milestones, and deliverables.
- Conduct periodic contract audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve performance-related issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and legal teams.
- Prepare and present contract-related reports, summaries, and updates to management and project teams.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation, correspondence, and records.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or legal roles, depending on the level of the position.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Previous experience in negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Exposure to construction industry
- Certifications (preferred):
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)
- Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)
