Your Role
We’re looking for a senior Europe Indirect Procurement Director to lead end‑to‑end indirect procurement across the region, overseeing approximately $400M in annual spend. This is a high‑impact leadership role at the intersection of strategy, value creation, and business partnership, with strong visibility at both European and global levels.
You will shape regional procurement strategy, translate global category direction into local execution, and act as a trusted advisor to senior European stakeholders—balancing cost, risk, speed, and service quality across a complex, multi‑country environment.
- Lead Europe Indirect Procurement Strategy aligned with global objectives, policies, and governance
- Provide people focused and sensible leadership and development to a dedicated team ca. 30 indirect procurement experts across Europe
- Own major indirect categories including IT & Telecom, Professional Services, Marketing, Facilities & FM, HR Services, Travel & Fleet
- Deliver measurable value through savings, cost avoidance, demand management, and productivity improvements
- Partner closely with senior leaders across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Operations
- Manage strategic suppliers and third‑party risk (GDPR, resiliency, financial stability)
- Drive digital adoption of Source‑to‑Pay tools, analytics, and standardized processes
- Embed ESG and responsible sourcing into regional procurement decisions
- Extensive experience in procurement or sourcing, with €/$250M–$500M+ indirect spend responsibility
- Significant leadership experience in comparable role
- Proven experience in European, multi‑country procurement within a global matrix organization
- Strong commercial, financial, and negotiation expertise
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Solid understanding of European regulatory and compliance requirements
- Fluent English required; additional European languages (French, German) a plus
- Specific experience in comparable industry or categories an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent certification desirable
