- Post-secondary education in a health care related field relevant to the position
- Experience working with electronic scheduling systems (i.e. Procura, QHR)
- Minimum of one (1) year related administrative experience;
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology;
- Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures in a changing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence of skills and concepts related to the position
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Ability to respect and promote confidentiality
- Ability to perform the duties of the position on a regular basis

Responsibilities
Overview:
- Maintains individual employee schedules in the Electronic Scheduling Program;
- Responds to service requests and changes in services from the Home Care Case Coordinator and or Direct Service Nurse (DSN), and identifies staffing resources available;
- Processes service requests according to priority through consultation with Home Care Case
- Provides assigned worker with assignment information;
- Notifies assigned worker of resumption and/or termination of service;
- Communicates with clients regarding scheduling as needed;
- Maintains Home Care client information in accordance with established guidelines
- Completes timekeeping responsibilities as applicable
- Adheres to PHIA and FIPPA legislation;
- Documents concerns and refers to their respective supervisor;
- Responds to calls from staff
- Plans and coordinates replacement staff as required as per Human Resource Policies and applicable Collective Agreements, consult with the Supervisor as needed;
- Refers employee performance concerns to their respective supervisor;
- Identifies self-learning needs to their respective supervisor as needed;
- Works within the scope of the position;
- Other duties as assigned.
