Our client is seeking a dynamic accounting professional with business case experience who is ready to make an impact.

Responsibilities

Team Building

• Recruit, develop, and lead a high performing in office accounting team capable of managing all national accounting processes effectively while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Financial Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including month end close, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Mergers & Acquisitions

• Business case analysis to support required due diligence and accounting integration related to mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

Cost Control

• Implement cost-effective strategies and drive efficiency initiatives across the organization.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, loan covenants and oversee external audits.

Operations

• Lead the accounting operations team in cost accounting and inventory management, sourcing with wholesale manufacturers, and third-party warehousing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred
• Demonstrated experience building high functioning and cohesive accounting teams ideally in a fast-growing organization in the distribution industry.
• Audit experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in financial software and tools. Experience with implementation and integration of MS Business Central (MS Dynamics 365) required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Accounting operations experience, including strong cost accounting, inventory management, sourcing with wholesale manufacturing, and third-party warehousing, which is critical to the position.
