This role sits at the intersection of sales leadership, advisor coaching, performance management, and internal consulting. The Advisor Success Manager will bring structure, accountability, and visibility to advisor business development efforts while serving as the primary day-to-day partner for advisors across the firm. By owning advisor performance and problem-solving, this role increases leadership capacity and ensures advisors remain aligned, supported, and focused on growth.
Key Objectives of the Role
- Shorten the runway to profitability for early-stage advisors
- Improve advisor activity, conversion, and revenue consistency
- Advance advisors through defined growth phases within established timelines
- Establish disciplined sales processes, reporting, and accountability
- Strengthen advisor engagement, satisfaction, and retention
- Reduce leadership involvement in day-to-day advisor issues
- Management of lead generation programs and distribution
- Lead and manage Phase 1 and Phase 2 advisors, holding them accountable to defined activity, production, and revenue standards
- Drive advisors through the firm’s phased growth model (Phase 1 → Phase 4) within defined timelines
- Observe advisors in prospect and client meetings to assess performance and provide targeted coaching
- Set individual and team growth objectives and ensure consistent progress toward goals
- Build, implement, and enforce a consistent firm-wide sales process
- Own visibility into the full sales funnel through reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Improve lead qualification, follow-up discipline, and conversion rates across inbound, referral, and marketing-generated leads
- Maximize marketing ROI by ensuring no lead is lost or underutilized
- Deliver ongoing training, feedback, and performance management to elevate advisor effectiveness
- Own the mentorship experience and ensure advisors are trained to the firm’s standards and approach
- Build a strong, motivated sales culture focused on accountability, results, and continuous improvement
- Act as a strategic partner and primary point of contact for sophisticated advisors and their teams
- Remove obstacles, align resources, and support continued growth and scalability
- Provide high-touch business consulting that enhances advisor efficiency and long-term success
- Serve as the central liaison between advisors and leadership
- Absorb day-to-day advisor questions and challenges, reducing escalations to leadership
- Communicate firm initiatives clearly and consistently to advisors
- Provide leadership with meaningful feedback and insights from the field
- Participate in screening, interviewing, and hiring of advisors
- Help scale the advisor organization while maintaining performance and cultural standards
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales performance goals across SageSpring’s platforms
- Demonstrate urgency and focus around results, asset growth, and retention
- Make timely, high-quality decisions using sound judgment and data
- Maintain strict adherence to compliance, risk management, and ethical standards
- Build strong relationships across the firm and foster a collaborative, results-driven culture
- Maintain a long-term, strategic perspective while executing effectively day-to-day
- 7+ years of proven sales leadership or sales management experience
- Experience managing and developing advisors at varying stages of growth, including senior wealth advisors
- Strong understanding of financial services sales environments, CRM systems, fintech platforms, and custodial relationships
- Highly organized, analytical, and metrics-driven
- Confident, polished communicator with the presence to lead and influence experienced professionals
- Independent, proactive, and comfortable operating with minimal oversight
- CFP® or other relevant industry designation preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to work in a traditional professional office setting or remote equivalent
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Advanced computer skills and ability to effectively operate computer equipment, software systems and databases
- Work schedule may vary and is determined by project schedules
- Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment
- Ability to communicate via telephone, computer and work in virtual teams
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Ability to travel using personal vehicle to other office locations as needed
