About ZEPHYR


Growing disaster risk is undermining property insurance across the US. Resilience upgrades that dramatically reduce storm damage exist, but no one is connecting the contractors, evaluations, insurers, and capital needed to deliver them at scale. Zephhyr is changing that.


We're building the infrastructure - digital and physical - that makes verified resilience acitonable for property owners and embedded in the way omes are financed, mantained, and insured. Our platform connects contractors, insurers, lenders, and property data to deliver upgrades at scale. We're focused on the US regional markets where wind and hail risk is growing fastest.


The Role


You will own Zephyr's product and serve on the senior leadership team. Your scope is the full product - strategy, design, architecture, the engineering team you will build and lead, and the integrations across contractors, evaluators, insures, lenders, and property data the product depends on. The product powers Zephyr's loss control service today and is designed to grow into the technology foundation of the tech-enabled insureance business we are building.


You will work directly with the CEO and the Head of Analytics with a roster of design partners and domain experts across insurance and construction already in place. From here, you and your team will turn early traction into a category-defining product.


Who You Are


You are a seasoned product leader. You have shipped products customers pay for, built and managed engineering teams, and you have the technical depth to lead architechture decisions yourself.


Must-Haves

  • Multi-stakeholders workflow design. You have built products that coordinate work across distinct couterparties - businesses, consumers, partners, regulators - and you know how to design systems where evey party gets values from the experience.
  • Design taste. You hold a high bar for how products look and feel. Zephyr's interfaces are used by contractors on rooftops, executives in conference rooms, and homeowners making real financial decisions - they have to feel intuitive and simple and clear.
  • Technical leadership. You can go deep on architechture, make build=versus=buy calls, and lead a high performing team. You know how to build a team that blens hybrid and remote contributors.
  • AI fluency. You use AI tools every day, you know where they create real prodcut leverage and where they create false confidence, and you design with clear judgment about what humans should do versus what Ai should do.
  • 0-to-1 Track record. You have taked a product from next to nothing to something customers pay for. You know how build toward product-market fit vs. building featuers for their own sake.
  • Fiedl instince. You spend time with users where the work happens. You'd rather sit in a contactor's truck or walk a carrier partner through the platform than read a research summary.


Nice-to-Have

  • Insurance, proptech, or climate/resilence domain experience
  • B2B2C platform experience
  • Payments, lending, or financial servies infrastructure
  • Highly regulated industries with strong compliance, data pretection, and PII requirments

Not Required

  • Property resilience domain in knowledge - we have this in-house
  • Direct insurance technology experience - insurean expertise lives elsewhere on the team

Structure & Compensation


This is founding-team role on the senior leadership team. Compensation is competitive on both cash and equity, structured to reflect the contribution of building this product with us from the ground up. We will be tranparent throughout the process about salary, equity, vesting and expectations.
