(Senior) Software Engineer (Full-Stack) – Healthcare Applications

As a (Senior) Software Engineer (Full-Stack) – Healthcare Applications, you will help shape modern, user-facing clinical software solutions. You will work on building intuitive and scalable healthcare applications that support clinical workflows and enable seamless interaction with medical data. By combining modern frontend technologies with robust backend services and interoperability standards, you will contribute to advancing digital healthcare on the Snke platform.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop modern healthcare applications with a focus on frontend technologies (React, TypeScript)
• Build user-facing features that support and enhance clinical workflows
• Implement secure integrations using SMART on FHIR (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT)
• Contribute to interoperability solutions based on healthcare standards and IHE profiles (e.g. IID)
• Develop and integrate backend services and APIs supporting clinical applications and data exchange
• Work within service-oriented and microservice-based architectures to ensure scalability and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers and Engineers to deliver user-centered solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve engineering practices and platform capabilities

What we are looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong experience in full-stack software development, with a focus on frontend (React, TypeScript)
• Solid understanding of web technologies and APIs (HTTP, REST, JSON)
• Experience building scalable and maintainable applications
• Experience with backend technologies (e.g. Node.js/NestJS, C#, Go or similar)
• Familiarity with modern development practices (CI/CD, Docker, GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, DICOM or HL7
• Bonus: Experience with SMART on FHIR (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and IHE profiles (e.g. IID)
• Strong analytical thinking, structured working style and a collaborative mindset
• Very good communication skills in English
