Clinical Lab Technologist

This role involves performing analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to support healthcare providers in diagnosing, prognosing, and treating patients. The position also includes participating in operational support activities essential for maintaining and enhancing testing capabilities. Testing is conducted in specialized laboratories and may involve highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using advanced instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Troubleshoot assays and evaluate tests for accuracy.
• Assist with interpreting results and optimizing testing processes.
• Utilize multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
• May assist with specimen collection and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols when handling infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.

• Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints.
• Proficiency in multitasking and performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling adjustments, including off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend work assignments.

• Experience with the operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems.

• Required: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science.
