Product Owner

Main duties & responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Owner to take end-to-end ownership of one of our product lines. You will be accountable for what the team ships, why it ships and the impact it has on our clients. You will own the backlog, drive the discovery, and make the calls fast, with conviction, and backed by data and client signal. You will be reporting to the Head of Product based in Geneva, Switzerland.

• Challenge solutions and use your deep system knowledge to anticipate impacts, risks, and dependencies.
• Translate the product roadmap into clear user stories.
• Follow-up closely with the Engineer Teams’ progress and achievement in terms of delay, cost and quality.
• Produce product workflows and process mapping.
• Understand customer requirements and expectations defining them with product functionality.
• Lead the testing strategy: write test cases, test plans and follow execution.
• Ensure product documentation is kept up to date on the Komgo Help Center.

Must-have

• 3+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager or hybrid PO/PM role in B2B SaaS, fintech or banking technology - with a clear track record of shipped, adopted product.
• Solid working knowledge of trade finance instruments: Letters of Credit (UCP 600, ISBP, eUCP), Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees (URDG 758), Documentary Collections.
• Communication skills: Able to communicate the objectives and the priorities of a product to the development team and the other stakeholders.
• Prioritizing skills: Capable to determine the key elements and prioritize them according to the product’s objectives and the available resources.
• Fluency with the modern product toolkit such as: Jira, Asana, Figma similar.
• Adaptable, with strong prioritization skills and responsiveness to market changes.
• Collaborative Mindset: Manage the engineering team while working closely with the other stakeholders to meet the product's objectives.
• Strong English writing and oral skills, French is a plus.

Nice-to-have

• Direct experience inside a bank's trade finance operations team, a commodity trading house's middle/back office, or a trade-finance software vendor.
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging (MT700 family, MT760, MT798, MX equivalents) and document digitization standards (DCSA, ICC DSI, eBL initiatives).
